Title
Bicycle Power Meter
Abstract
The Bicycle Power Meter provides a slim and inexpensive design to everyone who wants to monitor her or his workout. Based on a MSP430F2001, the Bicycle Power Meter captures the period (P) and pulse width (W) of a square wave generated at the bottom bracket. This signal varies with cadence and load on the crank arms of the bicycle. The measurements (Cadence and Power) are send to a Host via USB. On the Host the data can be displayed, analysed and saved for documentation.
